Here is a list of some fantastic places to visit, tested and rated "a trip and a half"!
Mount Pilatus:
The Luzern "house mountain" is best explored on a five-hour
round-trip, which includes five different means of transportation:
bus, gondola, cable-car, cogwheel train, and boat.

Mount Titlis:
If you want to be in the snow and ice, no matter whether in summer
or winter, then you must go to the thin air of this 10,000 foot
mountain. Try the "fun run" on snow at the top!
Mount Rigi:
Even though this mountain is not so high, it still offers a
mountain-top experience! Here you can walk or hike the whole day:
always a splendid view, and if you're lucky, one of the many folklore
festivals.
Mount Stanserhorn:
A very nostalgic mountain train and cable-car will transport you
to the green top of this charming mountain, for a relatively low price.
Village Sempach:
This more than 600 year old village center is typical of medieval
times: houses wall to wall, with gate towers, village fountain, and so
forth. Very picturesque, traditional restaurants and handicraft shops,
and a famous battlefield where the Swiss defeated the Habsburgs in 1386.
Village Stans:
Here stands the monument of the 1375 war hero Winkelreid, as well
as beautiful traditional houses and stables and a fine cathedral.
Visit the art museum and the "Chaeslager", a unique music and art center!

Open air museum Ballenberg:
More than 70 interesting historical buildings, mostly farmhouses
of the many regions of Switzerland were taken apart bit by bit and
re-erected on this 80 hectare site. Come and experience how life was
several hundred years ago! Ballenberg shows you many old professions
at work, along with live domestic animals and ancient methods of
farming. You can buy a loaf of bread produced exactly as it was 500
years ago.
Boat trip to historic places:
Learn about the legends and historical facts as you visit the many
famous spots around Lake Luzern: William Tell and the Austrian lords;
the Ruetli - birthplace of Switzerland; the Schillerstone and the
Tells-platte; the Niklaus vonFlueh statue; and many more. Even without
this information, the boat trip on the lake is bliss!
We are happy to provide you with timetables, maps, and pamphlets about these attractions.
